At Monday, January 31, 2005, birdwoman said...: You know, my husband and I went to an Engaged Encounter session (a weekend retreat which covered the classes required for Catholic marriage and much, much more!) at his parents' request. Getting married in the Methodist church didn't require it. Anyway, we were absolutely STUNNED that people hadn't talked over important things like finances before they decided to get married.
