Well, I'm graduating from college now, but I thought I'd add my tip: A large group of friends and I rented one of those 15-passenger vans and piled in. It was $20 per person. Not a limo, but it was still effective transportation. And besides, NO ONE NOTICED the vehicle we pulled up in.

Also, we went to Chuck E Cheese's for dinner. Not only was it cheap all around, and we got tons of tokens for the lot of us, but compared to our other prom where we did the whole resturant thing, we had many more fun memories of eating pizza in formal wear and playing skeeball in tuxes.

We don't have Prom Nights in my country, closest thing we have are formals, of which senior students have one every year... But it's nowhere near as expensive or impressive as the sound of your Proms are.
