A Bit Too Much

I bet you $100.00 that if the owner of this mansion had to clean it, he wouldn't
have bought it in the first place.
What's your take on all this extravagance?

I just started reading your blog (via feed)and I agree with you...however, the person(s) who were able to afford all that probably can afford a housekeeper too. :)

A relative of mine has a cleaning company that specializes in cleaning large new home constructions-clean up of the construction materials and basic cleaning for when the contractor shows the homes... One day, I joined her at a work-site... the home was stunning... a dream home...but cleaning it was a nightmare...an all day job. YUK!

Hi Christy,

Thanks for your comments.

Very interesting that you happened to see with your own eyes
where rich people live.

My dream would be to have a house like that. But the cleaning part is indeed a big issue. And then, of course, if you have a house like that, you also have a garage with three cars: A Bentley or a Rolls Royce, a Mercedes-Benz S class for my wife and a Porsche for my son. Which means that, besides costs for cleaning of the house, you also would have tremendous car maintenance costs. Actually, I am quite happy with my apartment.

Hi Worldman,

My guess is that you could build quite a few hundred houses where you work. With a decent roof to protect the people from rain and sun.

It is so sad that there are too many inequalities in this world.

I think this is avery nice house and I wish it would be my house. And if it would be my house I would be rich and can afford NOT to think about cleaning my house myself..LOL..

However your life situation is, make the best of it - rich or poor, we are in the end all on the same spot: five feet under the ground beside each other...right?

btw: Thank you so much for commenting to my photos.Very nice to meet you. :-)

I just got thru playing a free game that donates rice to starving people. It's at FreeRice.com.

Then I come to the page with this enormous house. WHAT a waste. NOBODY needs a place like that. Think of all the people that could be fed and clothed out of the excess in this house.

No wonder this planet is in peril.

There are "monster houses" going up all around my little house. I feel good because I recently was able to save two trees that were going be cut down to accommodate one of these big houses in my area.
