Would You Buy a New TV for $29,811?
I came across an excellent article on the subjet of Buy Now, Pay Later credit cards offered by the big box stores.
Please take the time to read it carefully, it will open up your eyes to the evils of the "easy credit" mentality that seems to be so prevalent in today's society. Would you pay so much for a TV

Makes me think of an episode of "I Dream Of Jeanie" as she bought a lot of stuff and said "but Master, it is free with MasterCard..."
It is shocking how much the cards actually cost us. So many Americans are paying only the monthly minimum and never getting any where. It is scary!! We don't even have any credit cards.
Hi Jill,
We don't have credit cards anymore.
We did before and learned a valuable lesson from paying too much interests.
We are debt free and credit cards free and we LOVE IT.

Yeah I once calculated the first beers I charged to my first credit card in college and I think it came out to like $14 per beer and they were just $2 each when I was ordering them - ouch!
Hi Genex,
Ouch, all right! At $14.00 a beer, I certainly hope that you enjoyed it tremendously!

Hello Marie.
Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment about the work my colleagues and I do. I returned the "honor" annd visited your blog. And also looked at your profile. In your "goûts musicaux" I see Jacques Brel, Gilbert Becaud and Jean Ferrat. This leeds me to two wild guesses: We are both in teh same age group (more or less) and you might be from Quebec? But by all means, I do not want to be probing :-)
With my best wishes for a Happy New Year.
Peter

Wow! You never think about how much interest adds to the price of your purchase. I'm happy to have my credit card debt gone...and I don't plan on letting it come back!
Hi Maria
coming by way of Peter from Worldman, he said you have a wonderful blog here and I must agree.
I did this a couple of times at Leon's once to get a RCA tv and then again to get a stereo. I was lucky as I knew I'd be paying the balance off when I got my income tax refund back. After this I vowed not to buy like this anymore.
Thank you for sharing the post
Bill
