Listening To Chopin
It's a rare occasion that I am alone in the house and
can put on music that loud. So I'm taking advantage of
this moment to listen to my favorite Chopin .
Rafal Blechacz plays the winner Chopin's Polonaise As-Dur Op 53 "Heroique" in the Chopinowski International Competition.
It is brilliant!
I'm all goose bumped!
Talk about music for inspiration!
P.S. You have to go to the 2:00 minutes on the video before he plays.

It is, indeed, beautiful and the young man is excellent. There is only a small "but" for me:
I love classic music and I love jazz music. And in both, I have a small problem. A jazz quartet bores me after a few moments (30 minutes) and I prefer a big band.
And with Chopin it is the same: I prefer a piano concerto with an orchestra "behind".
FYI, you can embed youtube links to jump to a certain point in time. You take the link of the youtube vid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHV0ByoaKF0), and tack on a #t= to it. Then, you put the time you want to jump to (2m0s). So, the extra link would look like this: #t=2m0s.
The final link would be this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHV0ByoaKF0#t=2m0s
Hello sag969,
Thank you so much for your tip
for jumping to a certain point in time on the You Tube video.
Much appreciated.

Hi Peter,
I must say that I do really enjoy listening to a single instrument.
I love Mozart's sonatas.
Maria
I enjoy that now and again, but I too prefer an orchestra rather than one.
I thoroughly enjoyed Chopin.
Boy would I love to be able to play like this.
Thanks:)
