Adversity? Obstacles? Turn Them Around

"When everything seems to be going against you,
remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it."

You will find that they haven't half the strength you think they have."

On My Wish List

I keep adding new things to my wish list and the latest one I added is a new floor for our garage. Frankly, our garage looks pretty bare.

I believe that a new colored tile floor would really perk it up and maybe give us the incentive of using the space in a better way.

I was looking at the samples of some garage floor tile and was quite impressed. So far, my favorite color would be black and white. Of course while checking the site, I found even more things to add up to my wish list.

I better work harder and make more money if I want to get all that stuff, don't I?

Curb Appeal

When walking I like to look at people's houses to see what's special about their place.
Recently, I noticed some beautiful mailboxes and address plaques in a higher class neighborhood. So, I checked the Internet to check the prices and see if I could afford one.

I came across Mailboxixchange. Wow! Right away, I saw one that I just loved, but still checked out all the other ones
just in case I would love another better. But no, this was definitely my favorite.

While surfing, I noticed that the company also sell commercial mailboxes, not just residential ones .
Not only do they sell mail boxes but they also can provide you with a beautiful address plaque. In fact, the company has over 1500 mailboxes and curbside decor products. This is
a big plus as you can more easily coordinate the look that you want for your house.

It doesn't take that much to add some curb appeal to your house,a beautiful mailbox with a coordinated address plaque can do the trick.

Why Copywriting Saves You Time

Why Copywriting Saves You Time & Puts You Ahead of Most of Your Competition

A lot of home businesses owners focus on face-to-face selling, which can be very effective, but extremely time consuming. For the same time you spend giving someone a 20 minute spiel about your products, you could spend that time writing up some highly-effective promotional materials that can be used over and over again to sell your product to countless people. Instead of selling to one person at a time, you can sell to plenty with the same amount of work.

That's what copywriting can do for you. If you're not familiar with the term copywriting, it refers to the words you use to create your various sales messages and promotional tools. Copywriting can be used on everything from your business cards to flyers to brochures to websites.

The problem is, many home business owners don't understand the power copywriting can have in generating more sales for their businesses. They throw together a business card or website and then wonder why nobody follows up with them. Effective copywriting urges your potential customers to take action on your sales messages. If you use well-crafted copy in your business, you're likely going to be ahead of much of your competition.

Here Are Some Starter Copywriting Tips:

1. Understand your target market - The more deeply you understand who you are writing to, the more effective your copy will be.

2. Understand your product - Understand what is unique about your product and why it would appeal to your target market.

3. Focus on benefits - The features of your product are important, but it's the benefits that will sell your products. For example, you may sell an aromatherapy candle in a particular scent and that scent is known to reduce stress. The scent is the feature and the benefit is stress-reduction. People want to know the scent, but they really want to know what they're going to get out of using the candle.

4. Use simple language - Avoid using big words or long, complicated sentences and paragraphs. Respect the fact that the average person's reading level is likely lower than yours and make it easy for them to get your message.

5. Focus on your reader - When we write about our business or products, we tend to focus on ourselves. Instead of using a lot of "we" statements, turn it around and speak to your audience. For example: Instead of saying, "We value customer service," say, "Your customer satisfaction is guaranteed."

6. Prove your claims - Back up claims with real and detailed testimonials, research facts, etc. The more
believable your copy is, the more likely you are to clinch the sale.

How Washing Laundries Is Like Reducing Debt

There is an excellent post How Washing Laundries Is Like Reducing Debt at Money Ning for August 6/07.

Here is an excerpt:"Many of us routinely wash our laundries at a set interval. We are able to start fresh with an empty basket because we clean up our mess before it becomes uncontrollable. This is the same with debts. Naturally, we accumulate debt through the use of our credit cards but it is imperative to pay them off every month".

Worth spending some time Money Ning to read more.

Places like the London Dungeon, the Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and the Shakespeare's Globe are just waiting for you to be discovered to mention just a few. One never gets tired of visiting all the attractions in London. As Samuel Johnson

However, London is not the only place that you should visit when in the United Kingdom.

For example Edinburgh hosts The Edinburgh Festival Fringe which is the world's largest festival. It has been running since 1947 and is becoming more popular every year. This year's Fringe runs from 5 to 27 August with performances at over 250 venues around the city. Of course, before leaving for Edinburgh, make sure you check for Edinburgh Accomodation..

In Manchester you can spend hours at the Urbis Exhibition Centre which features interactive exhibits and dynamic changing exhibitions and a lot more to visit in this town. Again, before you leave for Manchester, make sure
that you have reserved a hotel room, even if it's at the last minute Cheap Hotels In Manchester

In Glasgow spend a few hours at The Mackintosh Miniature Doll's house. Take the time to mix with the town people to really get to know the area better. But never forget to book for your last minute cheap hotel room in Glasgow.

And who can miss the Birmingham Hippodrome? "One of the jewels in Birmingham’s cultural crown"? -Birmingham Post- Don't worry about where to sleep when in Birmingham. You can always check for last minute and year round hotels rooms in Birmingham.

While in Cardiff don't miss visiting the famous Cardiff Castle which offers 2000 years of history in the heart of the Welsh Capital. You will sleep soundly if you made sure you checked before you left for Cardiff for year round and last minute deals.

Those outside London cities all have their own charm and should not be missed by travelers.

A good way to stretch your travel money when visiting the United Kingdom is to book your rooms with Cheap hotels in London. You can always count on them for last minute bookings and year round hotel rooms at discounted prices.

A trip to the U.K. could become one of your best memories.
